Your domain name is your personal identity on the internet.  It's what tells your customers who you are and where they are.  Some people choose to have domain names that describe the service that they offer, for instance loans.com, or like most people you can choose to have a domain name that is your business name.  Either way, a domain name is another good reason for your customers to remember you by.

Don't forget that the domain is yours completely. You are allowed to do with it as you please. However, we must remind you that domains are registered on a per year basis (for .uk domains there is a minimum of 2 years registration). This means that each year you will be given the option of re-registering the domain in your name. If you do not continue your registration in subsequent years the domain will become available for purchase once again.
